Widows Vista Firewall and port ranges: please make support f

I read this article: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/cableguy/cg0106.mspx and there's written: "if you want to configure an exception for the range of ports 1090-1095, you must configure the following ports: 1090,1091,1092,1093,1094,1095."
this is horrible, becaus you have to specify each single port and if you have to specify a large range (example: 1024 to 5000). Please make the possibility to specify the ranges using [1090;1095] or similar syntax.

OK I've just had a look on my machine and yeh, you're right. However, if you want to select computers on a small network.. lets use my house as an example.
My router is 192.168.1.1 and my server is 192.168.1.2. There are 12 other devices on the network that have an IP, so we've got it configured up to 192.168.1.20 just to be safe. In the "Change scope" section of the firewall, you can type in without the quotations: "192.168.1.1-192.168.1.20" - note the hyphen in the middle. This should include anything in between as well.
Also if that doesn't work, just input the subnet mask of your network instead... if that's what you want doing :o)

I've just noticed that you were on about ports... yep, that's going to be a difficult one. I've submitted it as a suggestion :o)
Sorry about that :o$
